Incoming Students
It is important that all of our campus community members are educated on sexual and relationship violence and the resources available on campus. For this reason, all incoming students complete requirements to equip themselves with a baseline knowledge about consent, healthy relationships, sexual and relationship violence and campus resources.
- Undergraduate students must complete a Vector training on Sexual Assault Prevention and attend Speak About It as part of their Community Wellness Requirements.
- New graduate students and Syracuse University College of Professional Studies students must also complete Vector training.
This information is not only critical as a new incoming student, but it also helps to fulfill Enough is Enough regulations, as well. Failure to complete these requirements will result in a Conduct Hold, losing the ability to complete class registration, view class schedule, confirm housing assignment, the ability to participate in Fraternity and Sorority Affairs, studying abroad and more.

Incoming Faculty and Staff
At Syracuse University, we believe in the importance of creating a safe and inclusive environment for all of our faculty, staff, students and other community members. To this end, we have partnered with Vector to provide the course “Preventing Harassment and Discrimination with Title IX and Clery” for all new staff and faculty members.
This training, in addition to being highly interactive and engaging, is based in research around the best practices for communicating and maintaining healthy relationships with Syracuse University colleagues and students.
In addition to this course for new faculty and staff, completion of sexual harassment prevention training is required on an annual basis. You can read more about this on the Office of Equal Opportunity, Inclusion and Resolutions Services website.
