The Chancellor’s Task Force on Sexual and Relationship Violence, in consultation with the Office of Institutional Research, conducted the Syracuse University Survey on Sexual and Relationship Violence in 2022. This survey, which was also administered in 2018 and in 2020, focused on four aspects of sexual and relationship violence: sexual assault, stalking, dating violence and sexual harassment. This effort aligns with New York State’s Enough is Enough legislation, which requires that all public and private institutions conduct this type of survey every other year and create greater awareness of University policies and resources.
In 2016, Syracuse University conducted a comprehensive climate survey which was conducted by Rankin & Associates, Consulting. This survey collected information about the overall learning and working environment at the University and included questions on diversity and inclusion, as well as sexual assault, stalking, dating violence and sexual harassment.
